About QIDN
The Institute has up to €40,000 to distribute by way of individual
grants each year.
In 2003 the Commissioners of Charitable Donations and Bequests for Ireland
approved the Institute to provide funding for the following charitable
objects:
- For charities providing services for palliative home care to the terminally
ill.
- The instruction and/or training of nurses in such services for the
provision of palliative home care to the terminally ill, and
- Generally to provide assistance to the sick and socially disadvantaged
in their own homes.
The Council, after due consideration, awards grants. Applications are
considered at quarterly Council Meetings and details of guidelines for
funding can be found here.
The Council's decision is final. Responses will be given to all applications,
however correspondence regarding unsuccessful applications will not be accepted.
